2014 Instructional Reports
The New York State Education Department has authorized the early release of instructional reports for the 2014 Grades 3-8 English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics Testing Program. In the MORIC region, reports will be made available to districts in Cognos on Thursday, July 24. Please contact the MORIC Help Desk at (315) 361-2700 with any questions about accessing the reports.
Call for Exemplary Presentations
The Technology Showcase brings together numerous stakeholders dedicated to the advancement of educational technology. Attendees examine emerging and innovative administrative and instructional technologies, share best practices, and network with colleagues and vendors. Are you interested in showcasing a district technology initiative and/or demonstrating how teachers are integrating cutting-edge technology in their classrooms in new and creative ways? The Mohawk Regional Information Center invites you to submit a proposal to present at the MORIC Technology Showcase, on October 30, 2014. Submissions are due by September 14, 2014. Save the Date for Summer Institute!
Attached you will find Save-the-Date information for Model Schools' Annual Summer Institute! This year’s event is moving venues, and we are very excited to share that Summer Institute will be held in the renovated Bonnie Castle in Alexandria Bay, New York. The theme for this year is Next Generation Teaching and Learning, and we look forward to sharing additional information with you in the coming weeks about the keynote speaker, newly designed sessions, and creative teaching and learning activities that will be taking place at the conference. Call for Nominations
The Mohawk Regional Information Center will be recognizing one administrator/technology coordinator, one teacher, and one student, from each of the four BOCES regions, who have provided outstanding leadership in the effective implementation and ongoing support of technology in the districts they serve. Attached are the nomination forms detailing the nomination and submission process, and you may also submit electronically at www.moric.org.
Nomination forms are due by Friday, September 19, 2014.
Award winners will be announced at the annual MORIC Technology Showcase which is being held on October 30, 2014 at Vernon Downs in Vernon, New York. Registration information will be forthcoming. To download the form, click here.
