First Annual Data Award
The Data Analysis and Verification Team at the Mohawk Regional Information Center is accepting nominations for administrators and teachers in each of the four BOCES regions who use data in innovative ways to improve education and instruction. áNominees could include district level administrators who leverage data to improve curriculum, building level administrators who utilize data to improve student performance or behavior, or teachers who use data to thoughtfully engage students in collaborative efforts to improve their own learning.

The Data Leadership Awards will be presented to the winning administrators and/or teachers at the MORIC Data Boot Camp on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. á We invite you to nominate individuals from your district for regional recognition by sharing information and evidence of their success in effectively utilizing data to improve learning at the district, school or classroom level.

Campus User Group.á
My Big Campus is a unique Learning Management System/Safe Social Network thatáintegrates with Lightspeed filtering. It creates an extension of the classroom through aásafe, engaging learning environment. During this user group we will:
  • Highlight My Big Campus updates
  • Provide opportunities for participants to share success stories
  • Have an open forum to answer questions
  • Review ways to implement MBC within the classroom and district level

Data Boot Camp
Workshops on data analysis best practices. á Data teams analyze their own school/grade level data under the facilitation of data analysts. áA significant portion of the day will be dedicated to District and School Inquiry Team planning. áDistricts should send a group or team of instructional leaders. á
